  • Manage multiple development projects
  • Appoint and monitor appropriate labour and site management specific to the project type

  • Control and analysis of labour costs

  • Provide comprehensive project programs

  • Attend and contribute to site meeting, client and contracts meetings

  • Collate, manage and sign off snagging works completed by project support team

  • Record variations from site and liaise with the QS team

  • Responsible for site health and safety from pre-contract stage through to project completion

  • Manage client direct suppliers for projects

  • Promote commercial awareness for on-site projects ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

  • Liaise with supply chain team to ensure compliance and effective site set up

  • Take a lead role in snagging and handover meetings with the design team

  • Ensure quality of workmanship in line with project designers

  • Deliver projects to agreed program of works

  • Monitor program of works and identify shortfalls and solutions

  • Ensure relevant design and contract details are available to site personnel at all times

  • Project administration including producing contract programmes

  •  Liaise with main contractor dealing with specification and contractual issues

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

A relevant construction qualification and/or working towards professional membership of recognised institution i.e. APM, CIOB or RICS. (preferred not essential)

Experience of both pre and post contract project management responsibilities, and be able to deliver this service effectively to Clients

Experience in working on projects within the commercial property sector, with proven success delivering bars, pubs and hotels.

The ability to manage a project throughout its lifecycle

A general knowledge of current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law.

Strong IT skills with an understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook

The ability to effectively chair and minute meetings

Collaborating with other disciplines and the clients' representative

Controlling workload and resources

Keeping abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice

Well established commitment to the profession and proven ability in effectively delivering projects and associated services

Practical understanding of commercial processes and profitability

Experience of successfully managing clients and their expectations
